"Excellent menu del dia. Came with a pretty good bottle of red. Some unadventurous options which my kids loved: they had spaghetti bolognaise and meatballs and chips. My riojan potato's and lamb were tasty. Husband had a lovely paella. Apple tarte very light. One of the nicest meals of our 10 day break. Service friendly and attentive. Bar atmosphere not intimidating."

"Had the dish of the day, paella and sangria, and both were great, 11 euros. Also had a clara/radler. Would come back."

"Another oasis in Spain on the Camino for a vegan. They have a vegan menu, yes, not a lot of choices, but two primero and two segundo so that's good"

"The food (pork trotters, Galician octopus) was great, and our waitress Lidia gave us outstanding service. Will recommend to every pilgrim!"

"Had the menu del dia (free bread, water, pasta, chicken with fries and peppers, and ice cream) for EUR 15. The food was delicious. The place was packed with peregrinos for the day so service was a bit slow, but we noticed that the main server attending to us was frowning the entire time, which was disturbing especially for my companions."

"Excellent service. Very nice people for both breakfast and lunch. Daily special at €18 pp will leave you happy and full. Everything was good with the anchovy and the flan being our favorites. Delicious coffee and chocolate croissant for breakfast."

"We stopped here for the menu del dia which was excellent value for €18/person. It was busy with a stream of Camino walkers so it obviously has a good reputation which was what drew us in. Very friendly staff who really try to look after you. Generous portions of good quality, traditional, simple food were served promptly. Riojan potatoes, spaghetti carbonara, meatballs, cod and lamb chops followed by flan, ice cream and coconut cake... all finished and empty plates. Not the place to linger over a drink after dinner but very happy with our experience."

"Very confusing. Bar Piedra is listed on Google under Bocateria la Alameda. However, please do not confuse with the other Bocteria la Alameda - separate on Google and 20m away by the plaza, for which I gave a poor review earlier. This place was great - good service, excellent value for money for the €18 three course menu and with a busy, fun atmosphere, mostly full of Camino travellers. Our food selection is shown in the pics. We entered at 7pm (restaurant is through the bar at the back) and found it after much wandering the streets as so hard to eat, anything other than bar snack food, in this town before 8pm. Bottled water was relatively expensive at €4.40. I'm unsure if they offer tap water. Overall, happy customers."
